In the autumn there is a lot of activity with the squirrels and crows collecting the ripe walnuts.
The best place to see the squrrels is on the fence. They run along the top of the fence and either jump up the tree or onto the floor to hide the nuts.

It is spring now - but there isn't too much sun !
The grass is getting longer by the day - must get Helen out there to cut it !! There won't be too much activity from the squirrels as they are busy doing other things at this time of year and they have hidden all the nuts about the area, you may get lucky and see one foraging on the ground.
The roof over my seat has been destroyed by both squirrels, cats and the wind. I'll replace it with a stronger bamboo rather than reed at some stage this year.
Helen has put some sunflower seeds in the ground in front of the fence, it should be fun watching them grow. They will be a nice reminder of the huge fields of sunflowers that we see in Italy when we visit.
